ScanPrint

Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance

By scanning a ScanPrint QR code, uploading a document, or creating a shop account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use ScanPrint.

2. What ScanPrint does

ScanPrint is a platform that lets customers upload documents to a print shop by scanning a QR code. ScanPrint connects customers and shop owners. It does not itself perform printing services. The shop owner is solely responsible for fulfilling print jobs.

3. Customer responsibilities

  • You must only upload documents you own or have the right to print
  • You must not upload documents containing malware, illegal content, hate speech, or material that infringes third party intellectual property rights
  • Accepted formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, JPG, PNG, WEBP with a maximum 20 MB per file
  • You understand that your document will be viewed by the print shop owner for the purpose of printing
  • You are responsible for collecting your printed document from the shop

4. Shop owner responsibilities

  • You must keep your login credentials secure and not share them
  • You are responsible for reviewing and moderating jobs before accepting them
  • You must not use customer files for any purpose other than fulfilling the print job
  • You are responsible for ensuring your shop's QR code is accessible only to intended customers
  • One account per shop. You must not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions

5. File expiry and deletion

All uploaded files and job records are automatically deleted 24 hours after submission. ScanPrint is not a file storage service. Do not use it as a backup or archive. Customers may also delete their document at any time before or after printing via the status page.

6. Service availability

ScanPrint is provided on an as is basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for failed uploads, expired QR codes, lost print jobs, or delays caused by third party services (Cloudinary, MongoDB Atlas, Vercel).

7. Prohibited use

The following are strictly prohibited:

  • ✕ Uploading copyrighted material without authorisation
  • ✕ Uploading offensive, defamatory, or illegal content
  • ✕ Attempting to reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the ScanPrint API
  • ✕ Creating fake shop accounts or impersonating a real business
  • ✕ Using ScanPrint to distribute malware or exploit vulnerabilities

8. Limitation of liability

ScanPrint and its operators are not liable for any loss of data, business interruption, or damages arising from use of this service. The total liability of ScanPrint shall not exceed the amount paid by you to use the service (which is zero for customers).

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of ScanPrint after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top of this page reflects when the terms were last revised.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall be resolved according to the laws that apply to the service.
